What it is
With the Online Coaching beta on, each of your clients has one chat with your business. They write from the Stund app; you and your team answer from Chat in the dashboard, or from the Stund app for your team.
Who sees a chat
Owners and admins see every chat. A coach sees the chats of their own clients — someone with a booking or a program with them — and can reply to them.
Writing and reading
- Open Chat. Conversations with something unread are shown in bold, and Chat in the menu shows how many.
- Choose a client and write — or start a new chat by searching for a client at the top of the list. Enter sends; Shift+Enter starts a new line.
- Seen under your latest message means the client has read it. The client sees the same when you have read theirs.
- In the app for your team, tap the chat icon at the top, or Chat on a client's page.
- The paperclip attaches a photo or a PDF (at most 10 MB); clients can send them from the app too. See Share files with your clients.
- If your client has agreed to AI-assisted coaching for chat, Draft a reply with AI suggests a reply for you to edit and send (see AI drafts: notes, follow-ups, check-ins and chat).
Clients who use the app on an Android phone get a notification when you write; on an iPhone they see it when they open the app. You get one when they do if you use the Stund app for your team on an Android phone; otherwise the number next to Chat shows you. Notifications only say who wrote — never what.
Quiet hours
Under Your quiet hours on the Chat page, choose a time window (for example 22:00 to 07:00). Client messages that arrive in it don't notify you; you get one summary when it ends. Quiet hours are yours alone — each coach sets their own — and clients aren't told.
Privacy
Chat messages are treated as health information and encrypted. They are kept for 24 months (with any file sent with them), included when you export a client's data, and deleted when you erase it.
