Body measurements and progress photos

Clients who choose to can log their weight and body measurements and take progress photos in the Stund app, and you follow them on the client’s page. Optional for every client, and part of the Online Coaching beta.

What it is

With the Online Coaching beta on, your clients can keep track of how their body changes while they train with you:

  • Body measurements — weight (kg), waist, hip, chest, arm and thigh (cm), and body fat (%). The client logs them in the Stund app, even without signal at the gym; you can add them too, for example after a session.
  • Progress photos — photos the client takes of themselves (front, side, back) to see the change over time.

It is meant for following fitness progress. It is not for medical diagnosis or treatment, and nothing here gives health advice.

The client decides

Both are off until the client turns them on, each on its own, in the Progress tab of the Stund app. Before they do, the app tells them what is stored, who can see it, and how to delete it. You can't turn it on for a client — only they can, from their own account.

  • A client can delete any measurement or photo they see in the app at any time — what they added, and what you added for them, since their email address was set on their record.
  • If they turn progress photos off, the photos they added are deleted.
  • If they turn measurements off, no new ones can be added, and they choose whether the ones already saved are deleted too.

You can also turn either off for a client (for example if they ask you by phone) with Turn off on their page. Turning photos off deletes the photos since the client's email address was last changed; any from before that stay until you delete them one by one, or until they are removed automatically (see below). Only the client can turn it on again.

If you change a client's email address, both are turned off and the client's Progress tab starts empty: whoever uses the new address sees, changes and deletes only what is added from then on. What was saved before stays on the client's page for you, marked Before the email change. You can delete it one entry or photo at a time, and it is deleted automatically 24 months after the change.

Following a client's progress

  1. Open the client's page under Clients.
  2. Body & progress shows whether the client has turned each part on, their latest value of each measurement, and every entry with who entered it.
  3. Add measurement (once the client has turned measurements on) saves a measurement for a day. Fill in only what you measured: only those values are saved, and the rest of the day stays as it was.
  4. The bin next to an entry or a photo deletes it — for you and the client.

Who can see what

  • Coaches see measurements and photos for their own clients. Their photos open on the client's page.
  • Owners and admins see measurements for every client, but a client's photos stay hidden until they choose Show photos.
  • Every time photos are opened — by anyone on your team — it is recorded in the activity log.

Photos are never public: they are kept in private storage, and each time they are opened Stund gives a link that works for a few minutes. Photos are never sent to the AI assistant, and measurements aren't either.

Storage

Progress photos count towards your business's 2 GB of client file storage, and towards the 100 MB a client can upload a day, together with files sent in the chat.

How long it is kept

Measurements and photos are kept until they are deleted. Photos are also deleted automatically 24 months after the client was last active: after both the photo was taken and the client last opened the Stund app for your business. Anything from before an email change is deleted 24 months after that change.

Exporting a client's data includes their measurements and a list of their photos since the email address was last changed. To include what came before, tick the box under Export data (JSON) — but check first: if the address now belongs to someone else, leave it off before sending them the file. Erasing a client deletes all of it.
