What it is

With the Online Coaching beta on, a check-in is a short set of questions your clients answer in the Stund app on a regular day — how the week went, energy, sleep, weight, anything you want to keep an eye on. You read the answers on the Check-ins page and reply.

Setting one up

  1. Open Check-ins and choose New check-in.
  2. Pick the questions: Weekly check-in, Monthly review or Readiness check. You can rename it.
  3. Choose how often: every week, every two weeks, every month, or once.
  4. Pick the date of the first one. Weekly and every-two-weeks check-ins repeat on that weekday; monthly ones on that date (or the last day of a shorter month).
  5. Pick the coach it runs under, and add the clients.
  6. Choose Create check-in.

On each due day your clients get a reminder at 09:00 (your business's time zone): a notification in the app, or an email if they don't have the app. The reminder never contains the questions or any answers. A client added to a check-in starts at its next due day. One who missed a day can still answer it up to two weeks later.

Good to know

A check-in that runs under a coach takes only that coach's clients — someone with a booking or a program with them — because the coach reads the answers. A coach sees answers only from clients who are still theirs. A check-in on no specific coach is for owners and admins.

Reading and replying

Answers arrive under Answers, with the ones waiting for a reply first. Open one to see this time's answers next to the previous ones, then write a reply. Your client gets a notification that you replied and reads it in the app. They can change their answers until you've replied. If your client has agreed to AI-assisted coaching for check-ins, Draft a reply with AI writes a first version for you to edit (see AI drafts: notes, follow-ups, check-ins and chat).

Pausing or changing who gets it

Pause stops the check-in until you choose Resume: no reminders, and your clients don't see it in the app or answer it meanwhile. After Resume it carries on from the next due day. Use Add client to add someone, or the cross next to a name to take them off — answers they already sent are kept, but you can no longer reply to them.

Privacy

Answers and replies are treated as health information and encrypted. A client's check-ins and your replies are included when you export their data, and deleted when you erase it.
