Online Coaching beta and AI drafts

What the Online Coaching beta unlocks, how AI drafts work, the monthly AI credits, and how your clients stay in control of AI on their data.

What the beta is

Online Coaching is a set of tools for coaches who follow clients between sessions. It is in a private beta: Stund turns it on for selected businesses, and it is free while the beta lasts. You can't switch it on yourself yet — if you'd like to join, get in touch with Stund.

When the beta is on for your business:

  • Your clients can choose to allow AI-assisted coaching on their data, from their own client page.
  • Your client pages show the client's AI choice and any AI drafts waiting for you.
  • Settings → Subscription shows an Online Coaching (beta) card with your AI credits for the month.

AI helpers that use this — drafting a session note from your bullet points, a personal follow-up, a check-in with a client who has gone quiet — are rolled out to beta businesses step by step.

AI only ever writes a draft

Nothing the AI writes reaches a client on its own. It always produces a draft, and you decide what happens to it:

  • Every draft is clearly labelled as written by AI, so you always know what you are looking at.
  • You read it, edit it and only then use it — or discard it.
  • When you use or discard a draft, its text is deleted straight away.
  • A draft you never use is deleted automatically after 30 days.

A draft is visible to the coach who asked for it and to the business's owners and admins.

AI credits

Each beta business gets 2 000 AI credits per month. One draft costs one credit.

  • The count starts over at the beginning of each calendar month.
  • When the credits run out, AI drafts stop until next month. This is a hard stop: there is no surprise bill.
  • A draft that is stopped before the AI runs, because a warning sign (see below) was found in the client's information, costs nothing, and a failed attempt is given back.
  • A draft that is thrown away because of something the AI itself wrote still uses a credit: the AI has already done the work.
  • These credits are separate from the monthly allowance for the Stund AI assistant and the website tools, which works as before.

The Online Coaching (beta) card under Settings → Subscription shows how many credits you have used this month and what they were used for. If you need more, contact Stund.

Your clients decide

AI is never used on a client's data until the client turns it on themselves. It is a separate choice from the health questions they agree to when booking.

  1. The client opens My coaching on stund.net/me, or My bookings on your booking page.
  2. They read what AI is used for and turn on AI-assisted coaching for your business.
  3. They can turn it off again at any time, in the same place.

To make sure the choice really is the client's own, Stund only accepts it when:

  • the client is signed in to their own Stund account (on stund.net/me, or on your booking page after coming from there) — a one-off sign-in link from a booking or package email can turn it off, but not on, and
  • it is made from the email address the client booked with (or bought a package with) at your business, and
  • that address doesn't belong to anyone on your team.

So nobody on your team can turn AI on for a client — not even by changing the client's email address to their own.

Good to know

If someone on your team changes a client's email address, only bookings and package purchases made before the first change count — and Stund also refuses whenever a client record has bookings or purchases under more than one address. In practice, the client can then no longer turn AI on for that record. This is deliberate: it is better that a client occasionally can't turn AI on than that AI could ever be turned on without them. If it happens, the client can still book and be coached as normal — just without AI drafts.

You can see the client's choice under Privacy & data on their client page. If a client asks you to stop — by phone, say — use Turn off for client there. You can turn it off for a client, but never on: only the client can do that.

Turning it off takes effect at once. Any AI drafts about that client that you haven't used yet are deleted, and a draft still being written is thrown away. If you change a client's email address, their choice is reset to off and their unused AI drafts are deleted.

Warning signs: pain, injury, eating and distress

If a client's information mentions pain, an injury, eating problems or emotional distress, the AI won't give advice about it. Instead, the draft tells you what it noticed, so you can follow up personally.

  • For some tasks the AI stops and gives you only the warning, with no text.
  • For others it writes the draft without touching that topic and shows the warning above it.
  • If the AI's own text brings up one of these topics, the draft is thrown away and you get only the warning. This still uses a credit.

The check deliberately errs on the side of caution, so you may see a warning that turns out to be nothing.

Heads up

The AI is no substitute for your judgement. When you see a warning, talk to the client yourself, and refer them to a doctor or other professional when that's right.

What is sent to the AI

  • Only what the task needs — not the client's whole history.
  • The client's answers to your booking questions (intake forms, health questions) are never sent.
  • The client's name (also first name and surname on their own), your team's names, and every email address and phone number are replaced with placeholders before anything is sent. The real names are put back into the draft afterwards, inside Stund.
  • Client data is only processed by an AI provider in the EU or EEA, under a data processing agreement. Until such a provider is connected, AI drafts are not available — the card under Settings → Subscription says Not available yet, and nothing is sent anywhere. (Stund's own test environments have a test mode that writes placeholder text instead; you won't see it on your live business.)
  • Nothing the AI reads or writes is kept in logs. For each AI run, Stund records only: the task, a reference to the client (not their name), how it went (drafted, warning, failed or refused), which AI model was used, how much text went in and out (counted in tokens), the credits used, how many placeholders replaced names and contact details, and whether a warning sign was found. It never records the text itself or which warning sign it was. You can see these entries in your activity log.

Good to know

Names of other people that you or the client have written in free text — a partner, a friend, a colleague — are not recognised, so they are sent as written. Avoid writing other people's names in notes you might use with AI.

If the beta is turned off

If the beta ends for your business, AI drafts stop. Nothing is deleted: drafts you haven't used yet stay until they expire, and your clients' choices are kept. You can still use Turn off for client on a client who has AI turned on.
